I have been a distinguished Graphics Engineer/Illustrator since 1981. A product of the North Carolina educational system, I was the recipient of Certificates of Art in 1981 & 1982, and the winner of the prestigious Art Pen Award in 1983. Having received my Associate in Applied Science Degree in Commercial Graphics from Randolph Community College in Asheboro, N.C.. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989, attended The Art Institute of Atlanta, obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Illustration. I also attended Atlanta Area Technical College with a concentration in Design & Media Production Technology, while there I was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. I have also received specialized training from Clayton State University, Film and Digital Media Center (Continuing Education Department) as a Digital Film Technician. Other certifications include OSHA (General Industry Safety and Health) and Grumbacher, Art Instruction Certification in Acrylic Painting and Drawing. Professional experiences, the Pepsi Cola Company, Accent Printing Company, Advance Graphics Communications, F&R Specialty Advertising, Options Software Inc., Fedex/Kinko’s, TrialGraphix/TrailLogix, Green Mountain Ads, the Georgia Department of Labor, Consumer Issues Community Paper (Graphic Designer/Layout Artist), and Eaton’s Cooper Wiring Division.
