If the first impression of my painting brings you joy and beauty in any way, then I know I have done my job as an artist!
Although my career has changed from engineering to technical writing to real estate and now fine art teaching, my interest and connection to aesthetics, drawing, and painting has always been there. In 2001, I decided to pursue my love of painting by creating an art program for myself based on what was important to me both in terms of painting skills and artistic growth.
I now work in watercolor, oil, pastel, and acrylic mediums, painting still live, floral, and landscape. I have studied with Master Painters such as Lescek Forzcek painting in watercolor based on Goethe’s color theory, Susan Sarbackpainting in oil based on full-spectrum color perception she has learned from Monet’s student Henry Hensche, Irene Lester painting with pastels at the School of Light and Color using Monet’s approach, Bob Burridge painting abstracts in acrylics, Rick Howell and Terry Miura painting oil landscapes. Additionally, I have completed the Drawing, Tone, Color, Oil Painting, and Watercolor classes offered by Mission:Renaissance fine art classes. For classes information, please see the Classes section.
My Persian traditional background has been an artistic resource for me to create a work of art for you! Note that my paintings are signed in my Persian name Taraneh (Ta.ra’.ne) and not my nickname Tina.
