I grew up in Northern, Indiana, and began my study of art at an early age while being mentored under the accomplished artist David Labrum during her high school. I then went on to study studio art at North Texas State University and Graphic Design and Illustration at the Art Institute of Dallas. My artwork has been influenced through living abroad in Northern Ireland and by my extensive travel throughout England, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and South Africa. I recently traveled to France and was able to spend time in Girveny and walk through Monet’s gardens, as well as his home and studio. I have been so inspired that I am slowly evolving into an Impressionist artist and switching from acrylic to oil paints. Graphite and charcoal drawing has also been a passion of mine.
