Deb Marvin is a professional fine artist living and working in northern Kentucky. She spent her early years in Vermont, studying and drawing the local wildlife and her dogs. After receiving her BA she moved to central Massachusetts where she spent several more years working on developing her art skills in various media while working full-time in various roles from academic administrator to desktop publishing and graphic design manager and finally as an IT manager. She took fine art courses at the Worcester Art Museum, graphic design courses at Northeastern, and completed a Masters Certificate in Digital Multimedia and Web Design through the Clark University Computer Career Institute. Her employer asked her to relocate to Kentucky in 2007 and she has been living and working there since May of that year. She now works full time as a professional artist and supplements her income with web design and development projects and teaching art. She thoroughly enjoys teaching so-called non-artists how to work with various types of art materials and to have fun making a mess and just being as creative as they want.
