Born and raised in Kamloops, B.C. Canada, Cheryl has shifted her career and interests over the past 16 years. After living abroad for a year in Tokyo as an exchange student, Cheryl trained to become a show-card artist (hand lettering sign artist) and later started her own business Cheryl’s Sign and Design. In 2000, she shifted gears to an additional passion in the health and wellness industry, becoming a fitness trainer and co-authoring a cookbook Low-glycemic Meals In Minutes. In January of 2015, Cheryl picked up the brush once again and became passionate about painting. Choosing acrylics as her medium, she has been open to trying numerous styles of works, including abstracts, landscapes, still life, and photorealism. Her latest works incorporate mixed media including texturing and metal leaf. Cheryl’s paintings have been shown at multiple art shows in the Interior of B.C. as well as various locations throughout her community.
