I am a classically trained artist as well as a formally trained fine arts photographer. I hold a BA in Studio Arts with a minor in education, an MA in Arts Administration, and I am qualified to teach art to Kindergarten through 12th grade, in the state of Florida. I have been an artist all of my life. As a child, I would create my own stories with art. I have always had an interest in writing stories for children and adding colorful artwork to make the stories come to life. My artwork has been commissioned worldwide. I have a strong background in art history and I work in multimedia in the studio. My skills range from oils, watercolors, pen and ink, graphite, lithography, sculpture, and acrylics, to pyrography , jewelry and textile arts. I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), as well as the group leader of the Northwest FL SCBWI Critique Group.
