I’ve been drawing ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. As a child, I’d spend hours copying cartoon characters. As I grew, I drew pictures of people. Art was my favorite subject in school. Always. Lacking any form of formal art education, I have spent the last 25+ years seeking instruction on my own through books and classes and an occasional workshop with an accomplished artist. I see God’s beauty all around me. He is the True Artist. When “copying” natural things like trees, flowers and people, I am always impressed with the luscious colors God created. Whenever I have a paintbrush in my hand, I am on a path of discovery and never fail to find beauty.
