I enjoy sharing my art and love of learning. Architectural drawings fascinate me, but I more often end up drawing people. I have taught at the Oswego Michael's Store (in IL) for 3 years, and love watching students draw, paint, and try out new things--What a privilege to be apart of their learning and watch them grow. A mixed media art piece of mine hangs in the new Aurora downtown library titled, "Out of the Elements Given to Man"--fitting the requested theme "technology" , my piece featurs a wheel, an airplane, gears, a human brain, and a weaving draft (because the jacquard loom inspired the on/off idea for creating the first computers), the language of music, numbers, chemical symbols, an on-off switch all emerging out of the elements God has given us --a collage of my own art work, weaving, spinning, and doodles --what technology means to me. The fun part was that year happened to be 2015, which in binary code is the same backwards as forwards, so I had to include it along the jet plane. You can see a photo of it on my web site -- Field Guide for the Wandering Christian (if you're interested--it will come up in most search engines) Or, if you are in Aurora, check it out, in our new Santori Library --2nd floor, in the main adult section, hanging by the computer rooms. I am now teaching art at my local Hobby Lobby in Oswego. Stop by the store to pick up a flyer is you are interested.
