Marvel had figured out the formula for box office gold in the multiplex but that hasn’t perfectly translated to the small screen. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. took almost a full season to become a decent show and while Agent Carter did well with it’s first season, it wasn’t until Daredevil hit Netflix that we got an amazing television series about a superhero.
At this years New York Comic Con we got our first look at Daredevil’s second season and it looks like it’s going to be as dark as the first. Most of the video is a recap of the first season but then we get a brief 30 second spot of season two. Check out that video below (via Marvel Studios UK):
We don’t get more than a few brief glimpses (steeped in Catholic guilt) but some of those glimpses are of Élodie Yung and Jon Bernthal as Elektra and Punisher, respectively. Most of the cast seems to be back with the only exception being Vincent D’Onofrio absent from the teaser. There’s no word on whether he’ll be reprising the Kingpin or not but I bet we haven’t seen the last of him.
That’s not the only news to come out of NYCC as some Jessica Jones casting info was revealed. While Carrie-Anne Moss has already been announced as a character in the show, it’s been revealed that she’ll be playing a gender swapped version of Jeryn Hogarth. In the comics, Jeryn is an attorney and manager for Iron Fist and Luke Cage’s business, Heroes for Hire.
Jessica Jones will premiere exclusively on Netflix on November 20, 2015, while Daredevil season two should hit the streaming service in 2016.
