The Montreux Jazz Festival hosts a concert by Detroit-based US folk singer Sixto Rodriguez, whose amazing story is the subject of the 2012 award-winning documentary 'Searching for Sugar Man'. Virtually unknown in the US for decades, he became a superstar in South Africa where his music inspired the struggle against Apartheid.
