RAW VIDEO: Hyperrealist Exhibition Centring on the Suffering of Children Opens in Vienna

Children's broken innocence, violence and deformities are some of the topics that Austrian hyperrealist Gottfried Helnwein reflects upon in his first European retrospective that has caused a big impact on audiences in Vienna. Over 150 images, filled with unnerving elements, have gone on display at the Albertina Museum and will be open to the public until October. The artist felt the collection was somewhat of a journey back in time to pieces he created 30 or 40 years ago. He claimed that all artists ask themselves: "Does what I did back then still hold up?".
