Today's guest, John Axelrod, is probably the only conductor working today who was a rock'n'roll talent scout for a record company discovering the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins and the head of a wine firm. He's performed with some of the world's leading orchestras. His most recent appointment is Chief Conductor of the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire in France.
