Sara Montiel Dies

At 85 years old, Sara Montiel was known as the first ever Spanish star to have conquered Hollywood. According to the Associated Press, Montiel passed peacefully at her home in Madrid, though causes of her death are unknown. Sara conquered Hollywood in the late 1940s working alongside Gary Cooper and Burt Lancaster. Close friend to the actress, Spanish actor Jose Sacristan, said that the actress was well known to always be smoking a cigarette on set and even said that Ernest Hemingway taught her how to smoke. Montiel was married to film director Anthony Mann.
