French Exhibition Celebrates 'King of the Sky' Boudin

A key forerunner of the Impressionist movement and a mentor to Monet, Eugene Boudin was one of the greatest landscape painters France has ever known, christened the "king of the sky" for his mastery of outdoor lite. Now, a Paris museum has collected some of his best-known works for the city's first major Boudin exhibition.
