Hamburg Sprucing Up a Run-Down District

Like all cities, Hamburg has its troubled districts. One of them is Wilhelmsburg, located directly across from the trendy new Hafencity development. Once a traditional working-class area, its now home to many ethnic minorities. This part of Hamburg is now to be massively upgraded. The urban renewal venture is part of the International Building Exhibition project (IBA).
