Dark Is Beautiful

Paris's old train station turned museum is staging an exhibition called "The Angel of the Odd: Dark Romanticism from Goya to Max Ernst". It traces back the roots of symbolism and surrealism to the Romantics. With films noirs, such as Murnau's Nosferatu or Hitchcock's Rebecca, but also furniture, photography and painting, of course, the show spans from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century.
