Google Reportedly Developing 3D Vision Tablet Prototype

Google is reportedly developing a tablet with advanced vision technology capable of capturing three-dimensional images of the world around you. According to The Wall Street Journal, the company plans to develop around 4,000 prototypes starting in June. As part of its research program Project Tango, Google's tablet will reportedly feature a 7-inch screen, two rear-facing lenses and infrared depth sensors. The tablet will likely be a sister design with similar 3D functionality to its prototype smartphone unveiled in February. According to Google, that smartphone could map out a user's surroundings to assist the visually impaired, help in navigation or offer even more immersive gameplay.
