Big Hero 6 Teaser Trailer Poster

By Heath McKnight (doddleNEWS)

We first reported on Disney Animation’s adaptation of Marvel’s manga Big Hero 6?a year ago, and now we have a trailer, plus a nifty poster! Take a look at what I’d argue is one of the more ‘off-beat’ Marvel movies, with help from Disney, and opens this November in North America, and early 2015 in the UK and elsewhere:

It’s a funny teaser, and I mean teaser. Not much of the plot or even the cool cityscapes (click here for that) are shown. But so far, Big Hero 6 looks cool, and family-friendly, especially since Disney Animation handled the mega-hit Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph.

Co-directors Don Hall (Winnie The Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt) have brought a very cool visual style, in-line with Marvel’s original comic. As a long-time Marvel fan, I thought it was cool and daring when the manga-inspired comic hit shelves and comic shops in the late 1990s. The voice cast includes T.J. Miller, Maya Rudolph, and Jamie Miller.

Here’s the official plot:

With all the?heart and humor?audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6″ is an?action-packed comedy-adventure?about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada,?who learns to harness his genius–thanks to?his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends:?adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred.?When a?devastating?turn of events catapults them into the midst of?a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets?of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his?closest companion–a robot named Baymax–and transforms?the group?into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.?Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action, “Big Hero 6″ is directed by Don Hall (“Winnie the Pooh”) and Chris Williams (“Bolt”), and produced by Roy Conli (“Tangled”). The film hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.
