This is my original painting “Swamp Thing”. Crocodiles and alligators have an uncanny way of blending into their environment. When they are hidden away in murky water they often look like a log of some other floating debris. The bumps and ridges on their bodies additionally seem to cling to the algae and other plants that they submerge themselves in. As this crocodile pops his head out the water he is still camouflaged by plant life that cover him.
