Alyssa L. Tanner As an artist, I pursue adventure, so I can bring that same sensation to my illustrations for others to interpret. ? I grew up on the South Dakota Prairie. From there, I expanded my horizon to feed my sense of adventure. I have traveled to the depths of the Earth by spelunking in Jewel Cave, paddled a canoe across the Lake of the Woods in Canada, and snorkeled the Barrier Reef in Belize. However, the adventure does not end once I return home. My characters exemplify my personal skirmishes and victories. I communicate these conflicts within the narrative of my illustrations. I enjoy working in traditional media as well as digital media. I specialize in designing characters, creatures, environments, storyboards, and anything else that is in need of a visual narrative.
