The San Salvador, Cabrillo's Flagship

The San Diego Maritime Museum is building the San Salvador at Spanish Landing currently. I was commissioned to create a mosaic of this majestic ship. I used smalti, glass, beads, glass stringers (rigging), vintage tile, handmade tile, and twined rope to depict all of the character this beautiful ship offers to the eyes.
