Christmas Gifts for Gym Addicts

With the holidays coming up, it's time to begin shopping. Many people struggle with gift ideas, especially when they're buying for multiple people. If you have a friend who's addicted to the gym, it can be even more difficult to plan gifts. Rather than buying gift cards for them this year, check out this gift guide for your fit friends.

Workout Gear

One of the most common things a fitness addict will use is gym clothes. No matter what aspect of fitness they enjoy, having the right attire is crucial to working out comfortably. If they prefer exercising outside, perhaps a windbreaker or mesh running shorts would be a good idea. By giving them something that they can layer with, you can ensure that they'll be able to use your gift year-round. For someone who prefers working out in a gym setting rather than outside, things like breathable shirts and leggings are a must-have.

If you don't want to deal with figuring out sizing, you can stick to other workout gear for your gifts. One thing that any gym addict can appreciate is a good workout bag. By giving the gift of a new gym bag, you can avoid the hassle of pinpointing sizes and styles for your friend. Gym bags are a great year-round gift in that they can be used for more things than just a workout. These bags can be used for carry-on items on a plane, overnight trips, and even hauling in your groceries in a pinch. For those who want an easy gift to give a fitness aficionado, look into some new gear for their workouts.

Supplements and Snacks

Another thing that almost everyone who hits the gym regularly needs is protein and pre-workout. These are staples in every fit person's pantry, but can get pricey when purchased often. If you're looking for a gift that your gym-going friend will enjoy, consider getting them some of their supplements. Things like protein powder and healthy snacks are always appreciated, and can be used no matter the workout specialization. For basic protein and pre-workout powders, you can look at your regular grocery store, but if you're needing to get something a little more specific to suit dietary restrictions, your best bet might be a health-food store or vitamin shoppe.

Of course, with powdered supplements comes the need for something to drink them with. For smaller and cheaper gift ideas, such as stocking stuffers, consider a shaker bottle. These are incredibly cheap, and can be found in most grocery stores in a range of colors and styles. On top of having a shaker bottle, athletes can also never have enough water bottles. One way to really show your friend you care is by giving them a personalized insulated water bottle. A bottle like this comes in multiple different sizes, but will keep their drink of choice cold, no matter how warm they get during their workout. By helping to support their nutrition, you can show your support for their overall lifestyle as well.

Recovery Support

Finally, if you aren't interested in any of the things you can buy to benefit your friend while they're in the gym, you can look into items that will help them after they leave. One such item is a massage gun. Athletes of all types struggle with muscle cramps and soreness, and a massage gun is a great way to help alleviate any pain from the comfort of home. These massage guns aren't too expensive, so you won't need to worry about breaking the bank if you purchase one for a friend or even for yourself. If you give the gift of recovery support, you are sure to make any fitness addict happy and appreciative.

All in all, though it can be a little more difficult gift shopping for your fit friends, it isn't impossible. While things like sweets and greasy holiday food might be out of the question, there is no shortage of gift ideas that will suit them. Happy shopping!
