6 Hot Looks to Wear to the Neighborhood Pool Party

Summer is here and you're not sure what to wear to the pool party. Do you want to impress your friends with your style? Do you want to show off some skin? Strapped for cash and can't afford a new outfit? Here are some of the most stylish looks you can wear to a pool party just by using some of the items in your closet.

The Summer Dress

You can't go wrong with a summer dress. It's versatile enough to wear with anything in your closet. Keep it simple with a plain sleeveless shift, clutch, and strappy espadrilles.

You also can't go wrong with a plain white dress. Nothing will make you stand out like a plain white dress with gold jewelry, bright red or orange lipstick, and oversized sunglasses. If you plan on wearing a plain white dress, you will need something bright like an orange clutch or turquoise platform sandals to bring your look together. Don't forget to tan before so you don't look too pale at the pool party.

Bathing Suit Cover-Up

This may seem obvious, but a bathing suit cover-up is a perfect look for any pool party. It's ideal for those who want to show off a lot or a little skin. Feeling flirty? Wear a floral kimono with a plain black bikini, lace-trimmed shorts, and a gold body chain.

You can always opt for the classic sarong and bikini look. If you're more into the boho style, then wear a nude or white crochet cover-up over a brightly colored bikini. Top off your look with a floppy hat, bangle bracelets, and dark sunglasses.

T-Shirt and Denim Shorts

You also can't go wrong with the classic T-shirt and denim shorts look. You can transform a boring T-shirt by tying it into a knot. This changes up your plain T-shirt into a fun top for this summer event.

Pair your look with cutoff denim shorts and you're ready to go. You can also pull your look together with a cute fedora, clutch, wedge sandals, and simple jewelry. The great thing about this look is that you can wear your bathing suit under it.

Peasant Top with Denim

The boho look never goes out of style, especially in the summertime. There are so many ways to pull off this look. You can wear a white crochet top with embroidered denim shorts. A pale pink off-the-shoulder top looks great with light denim cutoffs.

Another option is to wear a cross-stitched style top by your favorite designer. You can pair this look with skinny jeans, cropped jeans, or flared jeans and wedge sandals. This look is appropriate enough for the summer and will make everyone think you pull it off effortlessly.

Bright Colored Caftan

If you don't like to show a lot of skin then the caftan is for you. Wear a beautiful turquoise blue or emerald green kimono with tortoise shades, gladiator sandals, and bohemian jewelry. If you want to look more like an angel at the pool party, then a white flowy kimono dress with aviator sunglasses and puka shells is a great look. Now only will you be covered up, but you'll also feel comfortable since these dresses literally keep you cool.

Sheer Top with Colored Shorts

This is a sexy look if you dare. You can try this look in two ways. The first option is to wear a black or white crochet top in which you can show your suit off under. A super hot look would be to wear a black crochet top with green denim shorts and black lace-up sandals. Top off your look with mirrored sunglasses for some added personality.

Your second option is to wear a black sheer blouse over a black bikini. This will ensure that your look isn't too vulgar for the kids. Pair this look with contrasting colored shorts such as emerald green or hot pink. Top off your sexy look with a black floppy hat, black oversized shades, and a colored hobo bag.

These looks should inspire you to get dressed for any pool party this summer. It seems like summertime is the perfect excuse for a pool party anytime. Use inground pools in Virginia to make sure your swimming pool is safe enough to use before your next summer pool party.
