Best Places To Travel To Find Art

Art history is long, old and spans the entire globe, across cultures, religions and styles. There are so many places you could go to bask in the world's best art museums. Here are ten cities worth the trip to find art.

  1. Paris, France 

Of course, if you want to traverse the globe to find the best art, you have to stop in Paris. Paris is home to The Louvre and Musée d’Orsay so you can see da Vinci's Mona Lisa and the largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. It takes several days to get through the entirety of both museums because of how vast the collections are. Outside of the museums, on the streets of the Belleville neighborhood, you can find world class street art.

  1. New York, New York

You don't have to travel as far for this stop, so hop in your trucks and trek on over to New York City. There are galleries galore to explore across the city, as well as world-famous museums such as the Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The art in these museums spans centuries and is bound to capture your attention for days of exploring.

From the Museo Nacional De Arte to Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City is full of art museums brimming with inspiration. You can find old historical artifacts and the ever-changing modern art scene. Home to the famous Barragán Houses, you can also walk around the city to take in architectural masterpieces and check out the vibrant street art

After exploring all the different neighborhoods in Berlin and finding art in all of them, you can go to Museum Island and see works by Renior, Monet and Manet at the Alte Nationalgalerie.

Barcelona has the largest collection of Pablo Picasso's art in the world. Their National Art Museum also has large collections of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque art. Beyond the walls of museums, you can find beautiful architecture like the Basillica of Santa Maria Del Mar and travel the city by hopping from one art gallery to the next.
