If you're looking for art in New York City, you don't have to look far.
Now that festival season is in full-swing, here are a few New York art festivals You won't want to miss:
Two Orchids
While not technically a festival, this installation is certainly worth a visit. The creation of Isa Gengken, these two orchids are over 20 feet tall and made of stainless steel. Presented by the Public Art Fund and on display until August 21, they are located (and difficult to miss) on the corner of 60th Street and 5th Avenue in Central Park, and made available for public viewing during the park's normal operating hours.
Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit
Taking over Washington Square, this festival features dozens of local artists showcasing every kind of visual art imaginable, from sculpture to portraits. Check their website for a visitor's guide and a complete list of artists.
