"hope"

Acrylic on 3, 2'x4'chip board. I had an Idea of a fiery, destructive background with a girl showing signs of struggle, and toil. I colored her face with browns and reds to show a dirty and desperate, dead-pan look. A friend advised me to draw her mouth open or a tear rolling down her cheeks, but that seemed a little obvious.
