Perfect Father's Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is right around the corner. It can be so hard to find the perfect gift for Dad. A boring tie simply won’t cut it when it comes to finding the perfect gift for a dad like yours. Here are five ideas for unique and thoughtful gifts that are sure to please the dads in your life.

Give Dad a Bucket List

Your dads gift should be something that is representative of him. With Dad’s Bucket List, you’re not only checking those boxes, but you’re giving the gift that keeps on giving. This box of cards is full of fun bonding experiences for Dad and his little ones.

The 100 cards in the box all have different prompts. The prompts consist of different ways to learn together, laugh together and deepen family bonds. Prompts consist of everything from making prank phone calls to family members to playing your favorite video games together. This gift is a box of fun that will help Dad show his sensitive side as child and father bond together.

Give Dad an Afternoon of Sports

If your dad is the type who likes to go out and play 18 holes, treat him to a round of golf. If he’s not a golfer, there’s surely a sport he enjoys. Whether it’s basketball or mountain biking, make it so Dad can spend an afternoon participating in one of his favorite activities. If you’re sporty yourself, you can even go with him. And if he just isn’t that into sports, driving ranges can be a fun outing that’s much more laid back and not nearly as competitive.

If Dad has seemed interested in getting into sports, learning together at a father-child lesson is another fun option. Take a golf or tennis lesson together. Visit the batting cages. There are many options that will allow you to stick your toes in the water together.

Go Deep Sea Fishing

Speaking of water, if your dad is more of a fisher than someone who plays recreational sports, take him fishing. No matter where you live, if there’s a body of water nearby, someone will charter a boat for you and take you out. Fishing can be a great bonding experience, and you might even get to have a great family fish fry after.

Other water-related activities can be fun too. If you’re near the ocean, scalloping and lobster diving are both so much fun. Swimming and hunting for seafood takes strategy, and it’s exciting. Just like with fishing, odds are you’ll get to eat your delicious, fresh catches afterward, too.

Visit an Expo or Convention

If Dad really isn’t outdoorsy at all, take him to a convention that’s centered around one of his favorite things. Does he love nerf culture? Take him to a comic convention! If he loves antique cars, take him to a car convention. There are even barbecue conventions and fitness conventions.

There are so many great options that will fit virtually any interest. Typically, you won’t have to drive far to find something that matches Dad’s hobbies either. If there’s a large city near you, odds are they’ll be having some type of convention in the near future. As an added bonus, you can pay for your dad to meet some of his favorite celebrities at the convention and even get a signed photo or have a photo taken with them.

Upgrade His Tech

Dads are selfless. This means they’ll get their kids or wife the newest gadgets before trading in their tech for a new model. Upgrade your dad’s phone as a gift that he’ll find useful every day. Just make sure you have your dad’s best interest in mind when you do. Some dads love the newest tech, and some would rather have an older version that’s more like the phone they currently have.

Whether you go with a high-tech gift or a box of memories that will last forever, don’t forget to celebrate your dad this Father’s Day, and every day.
