'American Idol' Executive Producers Leave the Show

Executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, who have been with the singing competition show since its debut in 2002, have handed in their resignations, according to The Wrap. This comes after Mike Darnell, Fox's president of Alternative Programming for 18 years, also resigned. Combine this with Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj's confirmed exits, and it seems like 'American Idol,' which experienced a sharp decline in ratings last season, will definitely be different next year.
