Jurassic World Brochure Provides More Dinosaur Clues

By Danny F. Santos (doddleNEWS)

Jurassic World seems to have a few leaks in its design department. A while ago we got a look at what the layout of the island was going to be like, and now a Twitter user seems to have gotten their hands on the brochure prop for the film.

There’s a few bits of information so let’s dive in and see what we can pull out of these images, shall we?

Not much here other than the FedEx product placement and the multilingual front page.

They definitely have a T-Rex. This dinosaur is probably the centerpiece of the whole park and it’s major selling feature — everyone knows about the Tyrannosaurus Rex. We also get a few more details about the different park sections and you can bet we’ll be seeing set pieces at some or all of these locations.

The big surprise here is that the Gyrosphere (which I’m guessing as the monorail ride) will be narrated by Jimmy Fallon. We don’t know how much of the brochure we’ll see in the film, so this could be a design in-joke… but I have a feeling that Fallon does indeed have a cameo in this film.

Another page that hints at product placement, this time it’s American Airlines. The next page over looks very interesting as it reveals which dinosaurs we’ll be seeing at the park — and they are…

This is the real meat and potatoes of the brochure. We may not see every single one of these dinosaurs, but it’s a good bet that we’ll see most of them, including the water beast, the Mosasaurus, complete with underwater viewing area. Want to know what we don’t see on this list — Velociraptors. You cannot have a Jurassic Park movie without raptors in it, and a full-scale animatronic was leaked just last week, so we will be seeing them.

If you ask me, velociraptors not being on the brochure tells us more about the film than if they were on there. Did the caretakers of Jurassic World discontinue the Raptors pen as being too dangerous? Or are they being bred secretly somewhere else on the island?

A bit more product placement and a description of wristbands that allow you into VIP sections of the island. Who wants to bet that our heroes are going to need to get to safety while being chased by dinosaur,s and the only available place is a VIP section — and none of our heroes have a wristband?

The original Jurassic Park also had a brochure made that came with a map, and was available at Universal Studios Orlando (and likely California), and also with the original video game. It’s nice to contrast the original island map with the one for Jurassic World, as well as the original brochure to compare to the new one. Both maps and original brochure are located in the gallery below.
