Will Star Wars: Rogue One Be Teased In The Force Awakens' End Credits?

Lucasfilm will reportedly add a teaser for spinoff Rogue One at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

According to Shmoes Know, the Disney-owned company will copy the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the end of each film containing an original teaser which helps add continuity through out the franchise.

And with a new Star Wars film being released every year now, the small previews will help inform the less hardcore fans about what they can expect in the year.

Indeed, while Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a direct sequel to Return of the Jedi (1983), Rogue One is a standalone film which is set between Episodes III and IV.

There is little doubt in my mind that Darth Vader will be featured in Rogue One, which is being directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla).

In fact, since bringing you that news back in May, there have been reports that the Sith Lord will be the movie's main villain.

And as the credits for Force Awakens roll, when fans are still trying to recover from seeing Luke, Han and Leia back together again, what better way to keep the excitement going than to give the audience a big taste of Darth Vader in the Rogue One teaser.

Rogue One's story centers on a group of rebels who are tasked with stealing the blue prints for the Death Star, which is of course a precursor to the events of the original classic Star Wars (1977).

The cast includes Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed and Mads Mikkelsen.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is currently filming, will be released on December 16, 2016.
