There is no doubt that along with New York, London is the Theatre Capital of the world. Theatre lovers from all over the world come to London to enjoy plays, musicals and other performances. So, what better way to really impregnate yourself into London’s Theatre culture than to stay in the London Waldorf Hilton which is situated in the heart of London’s Theatre Land.
In fact there are two great London Theatres situated in extremely close proximity to the London Waldorf hotel. These are the London Strand Theatre and the London Aldwych Theatre. The great thing about staying in the Waldorf hotel is that after your theatre performance is finished you can return to the hotel on foot, without worrying about taking the tube or finding a taxi.
There are also a great range of restaurants in the area surrounding this hotel. These restaurants offer a a good choice of pre theatre and after theatre meals. If you arrive for a stay in the London Waldorf Hotel, and have not yet procured theatre tickets, the concierge service is always happy to help.
If you want to turn it into a real cultural weekend, why not also book tickets for either an Opera or Ballet at the Royal Opera House. Should nothing take your fancy at the Royal Opera house in Covent Garden, the English National Opera also shows a range of excellent Operas.
You may also want to take the opportunity to see some art exhibitions whilst you are here. The hotel is not situated very far away from the National Gallery or the Royal Academy of Arts.If you would like to enjoy some shopping time then you may want to take a trip to Oxford Street or Bond Street which are only a short distance away.In the evening you can enjoy a drink or cocktail in the sophisticated Homage bar.If you are feeling energetic you may want to enjoy a swim in the hotel pool or work out in the gym.
