I'm an artist who plays in paint, trying to get as much as I can on the canvas and as little as possible on myself. While I enjoying painting almost anything, I am naturally drawn (pun intended) to the animal kingdom, most particularly, but not limited to, the noble equine - hence my oft used online handle "Canvasjockey". Art is who I am, not just what I do, it's something I've done as long as I've walked. Years owning horses and other pets, as well as working in the veterinary field, inform much of my work. I live with an artist husband and two grown artistic children (how could they be anything but?) in a home where instead of a couch we have an art studio, a studio where we live, work and do everything but sleep.
