Reflections in the Jiuzhaigou River

I captured this image on my third trip to China, just prior to entering my freshman year at UCLA as a Regents Scholar. Similar to the rich reflections and depths found within this pond in Jiuzhaigou, my summers spent exploring the endless beauty of China reflect and resonate within the passion I've found in the depths of Chinese culture, history, art, and music.
I took this photo in the summer of 2013, while I was traveling in the mountains of Jiuzhaigou, in Sichuan Province, China. The beautiful, naturally turquoise waters there are famous, and they are so crystalline that you can clearly see fish swimming up to a distance of more than 10 feet away.
