Having a hobby is a fantastic way to spend your free time, and it can be valuable to learn a new fad. When deciding on this new skill, take on something that interests you. It may be a childhood memory that will bring it to mind. Imagine how good you could get at this new recreation if you took one hour a day learning and practicing. Have you ever considered that your hobbies could be a substantial side hustle? Here are a few pastimes that could make you a buck or two.
Real Estate
The great thing about real estate is the flexibility. It is not a 9-5 job in which you are required to put in 40 hours a week doing. For this reason, it can make for a successful side business. Many commodities are needed to survive, and one of them is putting a roof over your head. If you are considering getting your real estate license ny, the person that gets a newly married couple in their first house together or the agent who helps the empty-nesters downsize could easily be you. Either way, your expertise is apart of a memory new homeowners will never forget.
Create a Brand
If you are an artsy type or have a knack for creation, think about honing those skills and creating a business out of it. Whether you create custom apparel or make signs out of vintage doors, there is a customer base out there that will be intrigued by your idea. Creating a brand doesn't necessarily mean you have to make something to sell with your own two hands. Maybe you enjoy gardening and want to offer your services during planting season or have always dreamed of taking advantage of your minor in interior design. Whatever it is, attempting to make a little cash doing something you would have been doing regardless, is the definition of being business-minded.

You may be thoroughly surprised at what you could pick up at a thrift store that someone would be willing to pay a killing to take off your hands. If you have an eye for spotting amazing thrift store finds, take advantage! Finding an item that is worth thousands may only happen once in a lifetime. Still, there are always reliable alternatives available that may need just a little extra tender loving care to bring back their former glory. This leisure pursuit may take some trial and error, but you could be sparking the fire of a new business.

For all the compulsive online shoppers out there, there is a way for you to make some spare change while you shop around for the best deal. There has been an enormous rise in online bloggers that do the work finding unbeatable sales and quality items in the hopes of customers using their links to make purchases. When you make it as a successful blogger, companies will provide you personal codes or a link for your following to use upon check out. Once the sale has gone through and has your name attached to it, you may make a small commission. If you're lucky enough to have a growing social media following and you enjoy finding worthy products, you could have a second job waiting on you.
Don't be afraid to take on a little extra work to support the things you enjoy doing. The upside of making extra money on the side is your ability to scale it as you see fit. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Take a break. Are you planning a vacation soon? Ramp up your production. The difference in your office job and making a trade out of your hobbies is passion and pleasure. There is no risk involved in a little moonlighting because it is only for sport. If you are willing to spend a small portion of your free time treating your hobbies as a business, the sky’s the limit.
